In a world filled with lies, one does not know if the other is speaking the truth or not, where there is no mutual trust, comes a person who has the powers to recognize the truth and honesty, the one who is an immortal, and can know if a person is lying or not. She is not a hero for all, but for those she helped, she is a hero. She is not a hero with a cape or any outstanding costume, for she is a commoner like you and me. And her name is "IDK" and, got this name as no one knows her real identity. She senses if anyone is speaking the truth, but only if she looks into their eyes. She can't defer truthfulness from lies if she does not look into the eyes of the people. She is an immortal, but it does not mean that she does not feel pain. She can feel pain like how we all do, but no one can take her life. She has a fun and loving personality. But when she knows that someone is using others with a lie or lying to others that affect them, she gets filled with anger. No one will believe a calm and sweet person like her can get fierce.
Jie belonged to a wealthy family and was the only child of her parents. Her father lent money to those in need but charged high interest for the re-payments. People were unable to pay back their depths for it being higher. When not paid back on time, he would torture the families. When his daughter was born, those whom he hurt came and blessed the child. But not a pleasant blessing. They blessed the child to be an immortal, but she will feel pain. They blessed the child to have the power to identify lies to get hurt when she knows her loved ones lied to her. For all the mistakes and sufferings caused by her father, she is the one who needs to suffer. As she grew older, she hated her father for causing trouble to many people.
She worked on her ability and made it strong. At first, only with constant eye contact, she could identify if the person was lying or not. To strengthen her power, she worked on how to improve her concentration and mindfulness. Which, in turn, helped her to know and understand others. As she was not physically that strong, she worked on her physical strength as well. As years passed, her powers evolved with her. She became more knowledgeable, and her strength grew.
Jie, in her ordinary life, owns and runs a restaurant. And the superhero Jie, know to all as the famous "IDK," as one knows the real identity. She is a superhuman with no cape but a hero with a mask. A mask to hide her identity and to show that she is not biased. She works with the law and justice system. She ensures that every right person gets justice and the criminals get punished. Irrespective of one's background, if you are right and speaking the truth, she will support you.
Society has a mixed opinion about the superhero IDK. Those who follow the path of truth; idealize her a lot, while those who don't; hate her IDK.
Why would the world need someone who does not have a fancy superpower to be their hero? In the end, all we need to know is the truth. Money can hide the truth and honesty; it has the power to shut it out. Money can create fear in people from speaking the truth, where people fear losing their life. People end up feeling helpless and have no trust in getting justice. We all need someone to support us, help us, save us from injustice. And that "someone" can come in any shape and form. It can be a woman in a mask who knows the truth and is not afraid to stand against the powerful money. And when we get justice, that "someone" becomes our hero, who we will never forget. And faith restores. One does not necessarily need any superpower to become a hero; you need willpower, courage, and trust. If you know what is right, and your actions will not hurt any innocent person but will only help them, you will become their hero. If you aid any genuine person in need, you will become their hero, and they will never forget you.
