JNC Goes Offline

 JNC started its offline classes on 4 January 2021. Students were required to attend offline classes and, all of them had to follow all the COVID-19 protocols. Having a negative report, daily temperature check, a consent form was mandatory for those students who opted for offline classes.

In a conversation with Caroline Gauri Basco- (Assistant Professor of the Department of Psychology) said, "In terms of finishing portions, online classes are much better, but in terms of efficiency, offline classes are better." She believes that human interaction is necessary after the dreadful lockdown. But in the current situation, she would prefer online classes. 

"Online classes are more comfortable and had no risks," said Anupriya Kujur (II BCom 'B') Anupriya expressed how coming to college was fun, but following the COVID-19 protocols and being responsible for the same would be difficult.

Sowparnika Padmanabhan (I BA PECOS) was also among those who travelled long distances to attend physical classes. When asked about the college events held offline, she expressed, "Online events were better because many people who are stuck in different parts of the country can also attend and be part of the fun college festivities."

The college opened the canteen, following all the protocols laid down by the government. Students of the college expressed how it was convenient for them to get food in college and not go outside the campus. The college had put up a COVID_19 Center in the Amphitheatre to encourage all students to test free of cost. That ensured that the students and the staff are safe and healthy. 

It remained mandatory for all to carry sanitisers, wear masks and maintain social distancing during classes. the college haad held their first offline event, "The Investiture Ceremony," followed by the media fest, "Mediatron 2021." The staff and students enjoyed the events that; were well administered by the management and the entire college.
